COLDBREWED MUGS
Coldbrewed Mugs is a project intended to share faces with no pre-conceived notions, no pose prompt, no retouching and minimal post processing. I only add a little clarity, make each image black and white, and of course crop each image to a square format. While many shots have been taken with a Sony A7 IV, I’ve found myself capturing faces on the fly using whatever camera I may have, including my cell phone.
‘Look at the camera.’ That is the only thing I allow myself to say to the subjects in this series. It is an absolutely fascinating thing to see just how people will express themselves after hearing that. It’s not always what you’d expect.
